For those that know me, they know that I eat, sleep, live, breathe aviation. It is an industry like no other and they say that aviation is in your blood even if there are no real links within the family and for me, that’s definitely the case. It is something I think I was born with - this passion for all things flight. I think not only is it the flight itself and the concept of air travel that is always excited me but is everything that comes after that. When you have landed in that new territory, you're exposing yourself to new cultures. It’s the opportunity to delve into new cuisine, to open up to things that you didn't even know existed prior to that flight. That's what I'm really passionate about, and what gets me for aviation.
Alex Mecharas walks along a river, towards the railing. We see him looking into the distance, where there are aircrafts. Rowers are seen in the background in the water, and a guy on a bicycle cycles past him.
[Alex Mecharas]
And I think what's really exciting is that this is perhaps one of the fastest growing industries in terms of innovation and how much capacity there is to build on the future of aviation together.
The video zooms into the back of Alex’s head and pans until we see his face, looking into the airplanes in the distance which gradually comes into focus. A commercial aircraft flies high in the sky from left to right
[Alex Mecharas]
We have stakeholders across our sector doing amazing things and if we take that collaborative approach, I'm very excited to see what the future of aviation is going to become. And as the years develop and as everyone continues to work together, we continue to innovate for a very exciting future of air travel.
